About the dvd screensaver
The logo drifts across a black screen, changes colour on every wall bounce, and occasionally hits a corner exactly. A corner counter keeps score, because the entire cultural weight of this screensaver rests on whether you saw it happen.
How to use it
- Go fullscreen and leave it running on a spare monitor or TV.
- Watch the corner counter — it only increments on a genuine corner hit.
- Press Escape to exit fullscreen.
Questions
Does it really hit the corner?
Yes. With the geometry used here a corner hit happens every few minutes on average rather than every few hours.
Can I run it on a TV?
Yes. Open the page in the TV browser, or cast the tab, then go fullscreen.
Will it burn into my screen?
The logo is always moving, so no. A static image left for hours is what causes burn-in.
Does this cost anything or need an account?
No. Every tool on the site is free, needs no sign-up, and works immediately in the browser with nothing to install.
Will my screen stay awake while it runs?
Turn on Keep awake and the browser holds a wake lock, which keeps the display on with no input until you leave the page.
Put this on your site
The embeddable version drops the page around it and runs the tool on its own.
