What is a brown screen used for?
A brown screen turns a display into a flat, even surface of one colour, used for lighting, backdrops, tracing and checking a panel for faults.
Brown is a dark, desaturated orange. It is one of the few colours a screen can show that reads as a material rather than as light, which makes it a usable stand-in backdrop for anything that needs a wood or earth tone behind it.
